The Heart of the Rose

I've always been fascinated by roses...they are beautiful, they smell wonderful, yet they prick quite badly if you're not careful.

Bearing that in mind, I decided to change the way everyone sees a rose. Bringing the centre (or heart) of the rose into focus and distorting the outer sections appealed to me greatly as we sometimes judge each other by the outside and miss the most important part...the heart.
